HST and GST / PST exemptions or rebates for Ontario

Generally, buyers won’t notice a huge change in costs. On the other hand, there are various things currently excluded from the provincial sales tax that will never again be exempt. They include gasoline, heating fuels, electricity, some personal services, and so forth. The HST won’t be charged on basic groceries, doctor prescription medicine, health and education services, child care, coaching, and so on. They are subject to sales tax but at a rate of 0%.
